The Midge doll, who made her debut in 1963, soon became the best friend of everyone's favorite fashion model, the Barbie doll. This year Midge turns 35 and enters the Keepsake Ornament collection wearing a full-skirted dress complemented by a "straw" cartwheel hat and matching tote bag. Described as being "just right" for a Saturday morning visit to the farmer's market, the "Surburban Shopper" ensemble was offered from 1959 to 1964.
This beautiful collectible ornament was sculpted by Patricia Andrews. Both ornament and box are in excellent mint condition. From non-smoking household.
