How do I know your site is secure?
Our site is SSL encrypted to meet the highest standards in the industry so you can shop with confidence. "What about my privacy?" Any information you give us is never ever shared with anyone else!
 
Do you offer any discounts?
Yeppirs! In addition to our "Wholesale Beads" category, we have a CRC rewards program for Registered Users! Do you ever find yourself annoyed by stores and service providers who lure new customers in with special sales and coupons only to learn the NEXT time you shop with them...well gee, so sorry, but that discount was for new customers only? Think about it! How stoooooopid is that? (Psssst! We think pretty stupid!) So.......let us introduce our CRC, or Customer Return Credits, Gift Certificate rewards program!
 
For each dollar that you spend in our gemsandknots.com web store, you can earn 15% in CRC credits which you can then use to save money the next time you shop with us. That is, spend $100, earn $15; spend $200, earn $30...like that. (Pssst! This is where you go, "Woohoo!")
 
To qualify, you only need to create an account with us. (Pssst! You will find this link at the top of each page: "My Account.") We will post your unique CRC Gift Certificate number on your order page after your payment has been processed. (Pssst! Scroll down and you find it at the bottom of your last order!) Then, when you shop again, you just enter that number into the appropriate box when you check out and your discount will be automatically applied.
 
A "guest" shopper cannot access their order history on our website, so buyers must register in order to participate in our CRC rewards program. One gift certificate per order please (i.e., gift certificates may not be combined).

How much do you charge for shipping?

Do you ship outside the U.S.?
Yep! See our "Shipping Policy" link for the countries we currently ship to and the cost.
Can I combine my eBay and/or Etsy orders with my web order?
You betcha...with just one requirement. First complete your gemsandknots.com web order and then contact us about your eBay and/or Etsy order. If you are combining shipping with eBay, we can send you a discounted-shipping eBay invoice. If you are combining shipping with Etsy, we can set up a special "reserved" listing for you with reduced shipping. If you pay for your eBay or Etsy order(s) first however, we cannot discount your shipping.
Can I visit your showroom when I visit my aunt next month?
We do not have a brick-and-mortar store, so unlike some vendors whose websites are just a "sideline" business, you can be assured that you have our full attention when you shop with us online.
Can I place my order by phone?
While we do not have the staff to handle phone orders, we understand that sometimes buyers are not comfortable ordering online without first speaking to a "real" person, so we will be happy to speak with you regarding any concerns you might have. Just use our "Contact Us" link and send us your phone number with a good time to call. We will get back with you as soon as we can!   
Do I need a PayPal account to shop with you?
Nope! While we use PayPal as our "gateway" to process all major credit cards directly through our website, you do NOT have to have a PayPal account. We gladly accept all major credit cards from all buyers. We also take PayPal Express payments from our U.S. customers.
What is your return policy?
Remember those links at the bottom of each page? We have one specifically for any concerns that you might have regarding returns. (Pssst! It's called "Return Policy.") We're pretty picky regarding what we send out and we try really hard to please (everybody) but sometimes "stuff" happens so if there are any problems with your order, please let us know ASAP so we can work with you to get it resolved.
I don't think I'm ready to check out yet. Can I save my cart?
Well yes...and no. Our system will automatically empty your shopping cart after 7 days. However, if you set up an account, you can create a shopping LIST which functions as your "wish" list. You control how long items are stored on your shopping list. You can also create more than one list and you can even share your shopping lists with others.
 
Just remember...no items are removed from our inventory system until you complete the checkout process. (Something you might want to keep in mind since some of our items are limited in quantity or are one of a kind.)
How do I know the item I've bought is really vintage?
When we describe something as "vintage," it is, to the best of our knowledge, at least 40-50 years old. We have done business with most of our vendors for many years and consider them to be reputable dealers. "NOS" means "new old stock" or newly-found, uncirculated (not used) vintage items. Everything we do is with the utmost of integrity so if you think we've erroneously described something as "vintage", please let us know with more information so we can investigate! We're not perfect...but we sure try!

We're very serious about what we do here, but we believe that commitment to customer service and fun are not necessarily exclusive to each other. So...we try to make your shopping experience FUN!
